To live a life of safety and happiness, the only person we really need permission from is ourselves.

Though your abuser is on a mission to have you believe otherwise, you are the most powerful person in your own life. You have it in you to be safe and happy. You CAN make it happen.

What have you done to seize back control from your abuser? What advice would you give to another seeking to build a safer, happier future?
